Sandra Nicholson, 69, of The Woodlands, TX, died peacefully in her sleep at home on March 14, 2025, after a brief but valiant fight against brain cancer. She was a treasured wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and beloved sister.

Born on May 20, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Jean Jones of Huntingburg, IN. Known by family and friends as Sandy, she graduated from Southridge High School in Huntingburg in 1973, and was a member of Huntingburg United Methodist Church.

After graduating Ball State in 1977, she spent two years as a schoolteacher in the Indianapolis area. Sandy then embarked on a long corporate career in human resources with various companies; including Amax Coal Company in Indiana, PepsiCo in Louisville, KY, and ultimately retired from Baker Hughes in Houston, Texas, in 2022.

Sandy Nicholson was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Michael; her two daughters, Sarah Nicholson of Waco, TX, and Michelle Nicholson and husband Christopher Garguilo of Denver, CO, along with their sons, Grant and Dean; and her son, Kyle Nicholson, of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by two beloved siblings; her brother, Wayne Jones of Puryear, T; and her sister, Sharon (Jones) Feeney, and husband Kevin, of Peachtree Corners, GA; as well as four nieces and nephews.
