Sara "Brooksie" Cohoon

         Mrs. Sara “Brooksie” Cohoon, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Murray – Calloway County Hospital.

          Mrs. Cohoon was born on April 12, 1942, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late Jeff Attwood and Bernice Stewart Byrd. Sara was a homemaker and a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.

          In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Cohoon; son, Danny Joe Hutson; two sisters, Carleen Norton and Linda Ball.

          Survivors include one son, Donald Jeffery Hutson Sr. and wife Lisa of Murray, Kentucky; sister, Shirley Evans of Paris, Tennessee; brother, Robert Eldridge of Paris, Tennessee; two grandsons, Danny Joe Hutson and wife Marissa of Murray, Kentucky and Donald Jeffery Hutson Jr. of Murray, Kentucky; great grandson, Cody Grant Hutson of Murray, Kentucky.

          A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
