Sara Johnson

Mrs. Sara Johnson, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

She was an active member of the Memorial Baptist Church and the Winsome Sunday School Class; She had been an employee of the Tiny Hearts Daycare Center formerly Ms. Mary's Playschool.
She was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on October 31, 1933 to the late Festus and Donnye Davidson Story. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Johnson; two brothers, Randolph Story and J.R. Story.

She is survived by four daughters, Debbie Brandon and husband Jim of Nashville, Tennessee, Cindy Trenholm and husband Robert of Murray, Kentucky, Sonia Thomason and husband Dale of Murray, Kentucky, Jill Proctor and husband Brett of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Mitchell Johnson of Buchanan, Tennessee; one sister, Anna Bailey and husband Art of New, Concord, Kentucky; fifteen grandchildren, Erika Compton and husband Stephen, Emily Peters and husband Corey, Kaylan Thompson and husband David, Ethan Thomason, Krystan Proctor, Karlie Proctor, Nathan Brandon and wife Brooke, Eric Brandon and wife Stephanie, Jamie Brandon, Haley Thomason, Cory Trenholm, Justin Johnson, Christina Sullivan and husband David, Nevin Johnson, Michael Ormsby and wife Stephanie; fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Martin Severns will officiate with burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the funeral home.
