Sarah McAvoy Alexander

Ms. Sarah McAvoy Alexander, 71, passed away on Nov. 21st, 2013 at her son's home in Ardmore, TN.
She was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ, a retired Administrative Secretary of MSU and a member of The International Association of Administrative Assistants.
Ms. Alexander was preceded in death by her parents, Claude McAvoy and Lillie Parker McAvoy; one brother John Finney; and five sisters, Imogene (Jean) Finney Runyan, Dorothy Finney Gilbert, Linda Finney Ragsdale, Billie McAvoy McFarland and Ann McAvoy Rhodes.
She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Cunningham Giles and husband Chris of Ozark, AL; one son, Larry Cunningham and wife Shelby of Ardmore, TN; one sister Betty Finney Isreal and husband Tom of Grand Rapids, MI; eight grandchildren, Ashley Cunningham and husband Jamy Kovach of Tast, TN, Desiree' Cunningham of Ardmore, TN, Damon Cunningham of Christiana, TN, Marin Clarke of Ardmore , TN, Madilynn Hill of Ardmore, TN ,Skylar Williams, Sarah Williams and Kaleb Giles all of Ozark, AL; as well as five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Sinking Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
