Mrs. Sarah Francis McCuiston

Mrs. Sarah Francis McCuiston, age 85, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. McCuiston was born on August 25, 1940, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Cleo Sykes and Mary (Neale) Sykes. She and her late husband Max owned and operated Max’s 641 Towing for a total of 61 years. Mrs. McCuiston was of the Methodist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, William Max McCuiston; three brothers, Charles Dale Sykes, Louie Dale Sykes, and Neal Allison Sykes; as well as one great-grandchild, Ian McCuiston.

Survivors include three sons, William “Mickey” McCuiston of Murray, Kentucky, Mark Steven McCuiston and wife Sabrina of Nashville, Tennessee, and Monty Lyn McCuiston and wife Rebecca of Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Morgan McCuiston of Orlando, Florida, Mitchell McCuiston of Prosper, Texas, Tiffany McCuiston of Altoona, Iowa, and Derek McCuiston of Lexington, Kentucky; one step grandchild, Destiny Branch of Camden, Tennessee; six great-grandchildren, Katelyn McCuiston, Colan McCuiston, April McCuiston, McCaelyn Rae Casey, Elliot McCuiston, and Gwendolyn McCuiston; as well as three step-great-grandchildren, Daisy Hulin, Marquese Branch, Jr., and Ezekial Branch.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Dr. Art Heinz officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Price, Travis Branham, Keith Blue, Marquese Branch, John Mark McDougal, and Lance Allison. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Hollingsworth and Karin Price.
