Mrs. Scarlett Tripp Mathis, 48, of Murray, Kentucky died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Mathis was born in Murray, Kentucky on March 17, 1964. Mrs. Mathis was formerly employed at Kenlake Foods in Murray; she was a 1982 graduate of Murray High School and a member of the Friendship Church of Christ.
Mrs. Mathis was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Ricky Mathis who died in 2003.
Mrs. Mathis is survived by her parents, Ira Rudy Tripp, Sr. and Mattie Ann Lassiter Tripp of Murray; one daughter, Melanie Sarah Mathis of Murray; one son, Jordan Ricky Mathis of Murray; one step son, Jonathan Glenn Mathis and wife Amanda of Murray; one sister, Cindy Lassiter and husband Jimmy of Murray; two brothers, Ira Rudy Tripp, Jr. and wife Tina of Murray and Jimmy Alan Tripp and wife Charlotte of Spokane, Washington; one grandchild, Thomas Dewayne Glenn Mathis of Murray; and two step grandchildren, Emiersyn Mathis of Murray and Brooklyn Mathis of Nashville, Tennessee.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Josh Herndon officiating. Burial to follow in the Friendship Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the funeral home.
