Shan Herndon

Mrs. Shan Coral Herndon, age 59, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray. 

            Mrs. Herndon was born in Murray, Kentucky, on February 2, 1964. She along with her late husband, Mark Allen “Moochie” Herndon, ran the food cart for Darrell Beane Auctioneer, until his death and worked at Hickory Woods Senior Living Community in Murray. Mrs. Herndon was a member of the Northside Baptist Church. 

            Mrs. Herndon was preceded in death by her husband; father, Charles Mason McCuiston; and by a nephew, Kiel Ward.

            Mrs. Herndon is survived by her mother, Mary Ann (Boyd) McManus and husband Charles McManus of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Sheila (McCuiston) Ward and husband Mitch of Murray, Kentucky; nephew, Gabe Ward of Murray, Kentucky; uncle, Max Boyd of Murray, Kentucky; aunt, Marjorie Riley of Murray, Kentucky; as well as cousins, Jenise Howard and Sabrinia Leslie both of Murray, Kentucky. 

            A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Bro. Brett Miles will officiate, and a private burial will follow. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
