Sheila Spiceland

Mrs. Sheila Spiceland, age 71, of Murray, Kentucky passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mrs. Spiceland was born on August 21, 1953, in Murray, Kentucky to the late W.A. Lyons and Margaret Ann (Stevenson) Lyons. She was a homemaker who was the keeper of the home, a member of the New Concord Church of Christ, and the Adult Sunday School Class. Sheila’s hobbies included gardening and mowing, she was a fantastic cook, and she never met a stranger. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donny Lyons; as well as her little dog, Rebel Lee. 

Survivors include her husband, Steve Spiceland of Murray, Kentucky; they married on April 10, 1970, in New Providence, Kentucky; one daughter, Gretchen Young and husband Bradley of Old Hickory, Tennessee; one son, Jason Spiceland and wife Melissa of Murray, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Dr. Keragan Sheffield and husband Dr. Jeremy Sheffield of Mobile, Alabama and Annaston Young of Nashville, Tennessee and fiancé Zach Rossi of Murray, Kentucky; as well as mother and father-in-law, Rose and Bobby Spiceland.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Russ Crosswhite and John Dale officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
