Shirley Sue Darnell

Mrs. Shirley Sue Darnell, age 83, of Murray, Kentucky, died Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House.
Mrs. Darnell was born on April 18, 1935 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Aubrey White Steely and Ruby (Boggess) Steely. Mrs. Darnell, along with her late husband, Joe Wayne Darnell, owned and operated Wayne Darnell Marine before retiring. She was a member of the New Concord Church of Christ.
Mrs. Darnell is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Darnell Meals of Southaven, Mississippi and Cindy Darnell Vaughan of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, Gene Dale Steely and James Dan Steely both of Murray, Kentucky; as well as five grandchildren, Lauren Meals Embry and husband Brent of Southaven, Mississippi, Kristin Vaughan Kirby and husband Russ of Mayfield, Kentucky, Jacob Vaughan and wife Kelly of Almo, Kentucky, Robert Vaughan and Rachael Vaughan Susong, both of Southaven, Mississippi.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. There will be no public service.
