Shirley Vaughn

Mrs. Shirley Garland Vaughn, 71 of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Murray, Ky., died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
She was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith. Born July 5, 1939 in Calloway County, Kentucky.
She is survived by a son, Mac Anthony Vaughn of Paducah, Ky., daughter, Gail Burkeen of Murray, Ky., two sisters, Hilda Jones (Asher) of South Fulton, Tn., Betty Hargrove of Almo, Ky. One brother, Lewis Garland (LaRue) of Murray, Ky., also 4 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Mac Vaughn, parents, Elbert and Gladys Collins Garland, sister, Elizabeth Garland, brother, Elvin Garland.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Bro. Paul Bogard will officiate.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 2, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill funeral home.
