Shirley June Walston

Mrs. Shirley Walston, age 82, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the Marshall County Hospital. Shirley was born on June 13, 1941, in Hickman, Kentucky to the late Fadye and Helen Standridge McMullin. She retired from Mattel Fisher-Price and was a caregiver. She was of the Methodist faith.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Walston; grandson, Jacob Adkins; brother, Don McMullin and special friend Gary Covey.

            Survivors include a daughter, Edwina Maynard and husband Wayne of Almo, Kentucky; son, Terry Walston and wife Terri of Almo, Kentucky; two sisters, Martha Ramsey of Hickman, Kentucky and Tina Carmen of Boaz, Kentucky; two brothers, Mike McMullin and wife Teresa of Benton, Kentucky and Jack McMullin and wife Peggy of Benton, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Chris Wilder of Hardin, Kentucky and Nathan Maynard Murray, Kentucky; one great grandchild, Ashton Pittman of Hardin, Kentucky; also several nieces and nephews.

            A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation, burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
