Stanley "Joey" Waller

Mr. Stanley "Joey" Waller Jr., age 45, of Smyrna, Tennessee, formerly of Murray, Kentucky, died on Thursday, May 4, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mr. Waller was born on August 10, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee. Joey was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Pontotoc, Mississippi, and he earned a Master's Degree in Education from Murray State University. Joey played collegiate baseball for both Paducah Community College and Murray State University. In recent years Joey had worked as a self-employed contractor. Earlier in his life Joey taught school at Graves County, Mayfield Independent , North Pontotoc Mississippi and Paducah Independent. Joey was a Head Baseball coach for Graves County and Mayfield High School. He was an assistant football coach at Graves County, Mayfield and North Pontotoc High School.
Survivors include his Mother, Diana Waller of Paducah, Kentucky; Father, Stan Waller and wife Valerie of Murray, Kentucky; Daughter, Hannah Waller Paducah, Kentucky; Son, Nolan Waller of Paducah, Kentucky; Brother, Sean Waller and wife Shalyn of Paducah, Kentucky; Half-Sister, Skylar Waller of Murray, Kentucky; two Nieces, Kaylyn and Gracelyn Waller, both of Paducah, Kentucky; and Grandmother, Faye Williams of Paragould, Arkansas.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Ed Chapman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m. till 1:00p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
