Mrs. Stella Inez (Hale) Harmon, age 92, of Murray, Kentucky, died Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Harmon was born in Murray, Kentucky to the late Harley and Flora (Travis) Hale. Inez married Roy Harmon in 1939 and later moved to Detroit, Michigan. There she lived and worked while Roy served in the Navy during WWII. After 32 years they returned home to Murray where they ran their business, Roy's Carpenter Shop & Remodeling, while both being faithful members of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Harmon; one daughter, Patricia Banes; five brothers, Elvie, Liburn, Hollis, Jess and Alvin Hale; four sisters, Tiny Pierce, Velda Bucy, Kathleen Smith and Dean Billington.
Mrs. Harmon is survived by one daughter, Sherial Underwood and husband Roger of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Jamie Fox, Heather Kirks and husband Jeff and Sarah Fluegel and husband Bill all of Fowlerville, Michigan; seven great grandchildren, Alexis Fox, Abigail Kirks all of Murray, Kentucky, Amanda, Crystal, Adam, Arik and Alec Fluegel all of Fowlerville, Michigan; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray Memorial Gardens with John Dale and Garry Evans officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
