Susan Joan Govern

Mrs. Susan Joan Govern, age 62, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.

 Mrs. Govern was born on March 26, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Donald Thacker and Margaret Williamson Thacker. She was a retired Registered Nurse with the Murray-Calloway County Hospital and was a member of the Hazel Baptist Church.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Govern.

 Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Nash and husband Justin of Almo, Kentucky and Tiffany Chadwick and husband Jason of Buchanan, Tennessee; two sisters, Sherry Reagan and husband Micheal of Paducah, Kentucky and Patricia Seay and husband Shane of Hardin, Kentucky; three brothers, Donnie Thacker and wife Beth of Henderson, Kentucky, Doug Thacker of Wingo, Kentucky, and John Thacker and wife April of Wingo, Kentucky; as well as six grandchildren, Keira, Ellie, Ainsley, Harper, Lennon, and Tucker.

 A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Bro. Jordan Roach officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
