Mr. Terry Eugene Hopkins, age 71, of Dexter, Kentucky, died on Monday, September 27, 2021, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mr. Hopkins was born on November 2, 1949, in Dexter, Kentucky to the late George Dewey Hopkins and Eugenia (Woodall) Hopkins. He was the owner of Hopkins Auto Repair, former head mechanic for the Calloway County Bus Garage, and was a truck driver for the United States Postal Service. Mr. Hopkins was a member of the Dexter Hardin United Methodist Church. In addition, he was a member of the Murray Calloway County Fair Board and was a former Jaycee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, George Rex Hopkins.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Diane (Collins) Hopkins of Dexter, Kentucky; one daughter, Kim Harpole and husband Mark of Almo, Kentucky; one son, Michael Hopkins of Hazel, Kentucky; one sister, Sherry Hopkins McKinney of Dexter, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Ashley Manning and husband Marcus of Murray, Kentucky, Amanda Harpole of Almo, Kentucky, and Addison Harpole of Almo, Kentucky.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Richard Burkeen officiating. Burial will follow in the McDaniel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
