Mrs. Thelma Potts, age 94, of Kirksey, Kentucky, died Friday, November 16, 2012 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah, Kentucky.
She was born September 28, 1918 to the late George M and Addie Hendricks Marine. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, James C. Potts in May 24, 2009; as well as one great grandchild Laura Jane Adams.
She was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ; she was a homemaker but also had retired from Roses Department Store; she was a 1938 graduate of Kirksey High School.
She is survived by one daughter, Georgia Adams and husband Johnny of Paducah, Kentucky; one son, Jamie Potts and wife Jane of Kirksey, Kentucky; four grandchildren, John Mark Potts and wife Amanda of Murray, Kentucky, David Potts and wife Felisha of Ooltewah Tennessee, Chuck Adams of Glen Carbon Illinois, Scott Adams and wife Ashley of Midway, Kentucky; ten great grandchildren, Michael Eells, Payton Adams and Collin Adams all of Glen Carbon, Illinois, Danielle Potts and Connor Potts both of Murray, Kentucky, Hillary Potts, Keaton Potts, and Chloe Potts of Ooltewah Tennessee Mattie Adams, Colton Adams and Levi Adams all of Midway, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. John Dale will officiate with burial to follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
