Thomas James Maxwell

Mr. Thomas James Maxwell, age 65, of Murray, Kentucky died on Thursday, October 01, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Maxwell was born in Leeds, New York on November 19, 1949 to the late Michael T. Maxwell and Maureen Keyes Maxwell. Mr. Maxwell was employed by Hawaiian Tropic in Murray, Kentucky for 28 years before retiring from Morning Star Foods in Murray. Mr. Maxwell received both his Bachelors in History and his Master's in Education from Murray State University.

Mr. Maxwell is survived by his wife, Shawn Brockhoff Maxwell of Murray, to whom he married on July 30, 1977 in Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Elizabeth Ann O'Keefe and husband Dan from College Point, New York and Sheila Farrell of Athens, New York; one brother, Michael Maxwell of Schenectady, New York; and nephews, Dan O'Keefe of Long Beach, New York, Brian O'Keefe of College Point, New York, Scott Brockhoff of Villa Hills, Kentucky and Luke Brockhoff of Green Cove Springs, Florida.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 12, 2015, from 4:30 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Friends are invited to a tribute for Tom, on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 5:30 p.m., at the Oaks Country Club golf course.
