Mr. Thomas J. Stom, 85, of Almo, Kentucky died Saturday, August 10, 2013 at his home after an extended illness.
Mr. Stom was born October 2, 1927 in Blackwell, Ok., to the late Jesse W. and Tennie Thompson Stom. He was retired from the Murray division of Tappan, and retired Kentucky 100 division life member association of Century, a Korean War veteran, a life member of the V.F.W., and the American Legion. He was a Kentucky Colonel, and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Lou Bruce Stom, of Almo, KY, one brother, Aubrey Stom, of Almo, Ky., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Bro. Jimmy Stom will officiate, and burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery, in Mayfield, Ky., Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
