Mr. Thomas E. "Tommy" Vance, 57, of Murray, Kentucky died on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mr. Vance was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on July 21, 1954 to the late Edwin Vance and Willie Orr Vance. Mr. Vance was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Vance was preceded in death by one son, Robert Thomas Vance; and by one sister, Sondra Vance Lovins.
Mr. Vance is survived by his wife, Rebecca Chaney Vance of Murray, to whom he married on December 30, 1973 in Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Melissa Leigh Spiceland and husband Jason of Murray; one son, John Anthony Vance and wife Megan of Murray; one sister, Edwina Vance Bucy and husband Dwayne of Hazel, Kentucky; one brother, Terry Vance and wife Christy of Aurora, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Madison Leigh Vance and Molly Ann Vance both of Murray; and brother-in-law, Charles Lovins of Murray.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Brother Brad Burns officiating. Burial to follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
