Mr. Timothy Bollinger, 61, of Murray, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital.
Born May 2, 1950 in Kewanee, IL, he was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Bollinger was also a member of the Bethel Fellowship church.
He enjoyed riding his tractor, motorcycle, and spending time with his grandchildren, taking them fishing, swimming, and teaching them things.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years Anne Bollinger of Murray, Ky., two daughters, Kelsey Raposa (Rob) of Va., Ronni Reed (David) Ky., two sons, Shawn Bollinger (Nit) of Guam, and Shannon Bollinger of IL., four sisters, Dorothy Seyller of N.C., Jane Buzzell (Wayne) IL.., Becky Euhus (Gerry) of IL., Ruthann Ernst of IL., two brothers, Mike Bollinger (Mary) of Tn., Jerry Bollinger of IL., also ten grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert "Buck" Bollinger, and Mary Campbell Shanks, also one brother, Ed Bollinger.
Memorial service will be held Friday, September, 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethel Fellowship church, Pastors Shelby Underhill and Mike Massey will officiate.
