Twila Ann Adams

Twila Ann Adams, 75, formerly of Murray, KY, passed away on November 25^th, 2023, at her home in Vero Beach, FL.

Friends and family will remember Twila for being the life of the party.  She was very social and outgoing, always looking for ways to elicit smiles and laughter from those around her.  Twila was best known for her passion for teaching.  She taught for the Calloway County School System in the middle school, as well as in the high school alternative program.  In 1997 she was nominated and awarded the Outstanding Kentucky Teacher Award of Murray State University, which she was very proud of.  Her dedication to her students was unmatched.  She continued her passion for teaching even after retiring, dedicating her time to leading Sunday Bible studies in her retirement facility in Vero Beach.  Twila also served the facility as the Vice President of the resident board and the Welcome Ambassador.

Twila was preceded in death by her parents, Cody and Estelle Adams.  She is survived by her two sons, Danny Mac Dunn, Jr., wife Rachel, of Mandeville, LA, and Tracy Dunn, wife Misty, of Murray, KY, seven grandchildren (Gage Dunn, Garrett Dunn, Hallic Dunn, Hattie Dunn, Jacob Dunn, Emily Dunn and Grace Dunn) and two great grandchildren (Easton Dunn and Harrison Dunn), one brother, Cody Lanch Adams, wife Beth, of Port St. Lucie, FL, and one sister, Stacy Murdock, husband Rick, of Murray, KY.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with John Dale officiating. There will be no public visitation held prior to the memorial service.
