Verona M. Grogan

Mrs. Verona M. Grogan, 79, of Paducah, formerly of Murray, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Mrs. Grogan was born in Lyon Co., KY to the late Joe B. and Jettie Smith on October 3, 1931. Mrs. Grogan before retiring served as the Murray Calloway Co. Senior Citizens director. Mrs. Grogan was a member of the University Church of Christ and a member of the D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revoulution).
In addition to her parents Mrs. Grogan was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Grogan; son, Terry Grogan; and by two sisters, Joette Wolfe and Dorothy Nanny.
Mrs. Grogan is survived by one son, Dr. Kenneth B. Grogan of Paducah; as well as two nieces, Susan Dunman and Dianna Wolfe both of Murray.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchil Funeral Home with Charley Bazzell officiating. Burial to follow in the Green Plain Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the funeral home.
