Vinson W. Farist

Mr. Vinson W. Farist, age 81, of Buchanan, Tennessee, died on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
Mr. Farist was born on November 28, 1939, in Gilmer County, Georgia to the late Vernie Farist and Cleo Moore Farist. He was a supervisor for the National Park Service and a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Farist.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Farist of Buchanan, Tennessee; one daughter, Debbie McKinney and husband Kevin of Tucson, Arizona; one son, Mark Farist and wife Janet of State Road, North Carolina; one brother, Leon Farist and wife Judy of Ellijay, Georgia; as well as five grandchildren, Rob Bagley, Catherine Farist, John Farist, Phillip Farist, and Patrick Farist.
A funeral service will be held at the Bernhardt Funeral Home in Ellijay, Georgia on Sunday, June 6, 2021, and burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay, Georgia.
