Mrs. Viola Brown Butler, 90, of Murray, Kentucky died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Butler was born April 4, 1923 in Prestonsburg, Ky., to the late Forrest and Daisy George Brown. She was a retired Lab Technician with the Kentucky state Health Department. She also attended Westside Baptist Church, and the young at hearts senior group.
Mrs. Butler is survived by one daughter, Nancy Barker and husband Alan of Cincinnati, Oh., two sons, Walter Gray Butler Jr. and wife Melissa of Huntsville, Ala., and Dr. Daniel Butler and wife Teresa of Murray, Ky., two sisters, Pauline Beverly of Gordonsville, Va., and Ruth Ann Hayes and husband Ed of Jakin, Ga., also one brother, Phillip Brown and wife Elizabeth of Miami, Fla., also ten grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gray Butler, and one daughter, Linda Lee Butler.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Glynn Orr will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
