Mrs. Virginia Haze Collie Gantt age 95, of Murray, Kentucky, died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Gantt was born February 18, 1921 in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late Hiram Fred Collie and Ethel Hale Collie. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Almo Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Gantt; brother, Roy Brooks Collie.
Survivors include two sons, Vernon Wilson Gantt and wife Dolores of Murray, Kentucky, James Dale Gantt and wife Kay of Searcy, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Michelle Lynn Gantt of Paducah, Kentucky, Darren Gantt and wife Lindy of Pineville, Louisiana, Heather Kemper and husband Lance of Searcy, Arkansas, and Jenny Turner and husband Josh of Searcy, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Emma, Chloe, and Noah Gantt, Briley and Braden Kemper, Sydney and Macy Turner.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. John Dale and Priestly Scott will officiate, and burial will follow in the Friendship Church of Christ cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
