Wanda Sue Colson

Mrs. Wanda Sue Adams Colson, 83, of Murray, KY died Friday, July 29, 2011 at 5:25 p.m. at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray. Mrs. Colson was born in Calloway Co., KY on March 17, 1928 to the late Bun Adams and Corrine Starks Adams. Mrs. Colson retired from the Hendersonville Hospital in Hendersonville, TN as a L.P.N. Mrs. Colson was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Colson was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Sanders Colson, who died on December 13, 2008; one son, Ronald Sanders Colson; and one brother, Jerry Dwain Adams.
Mrs. Colson is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Hayes and husband Harvey of Dallas, TX; two sons, Thomas Wayne Colson and wife Doreen of Murray and Kevin Adams Colson of Wichita, Kansas; as well as six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the funeral home.
