Mrs. Wanda Jean (Brooks) Parker, age 92, of Hazel, Kentucky, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.
Mrs. Parker was born on August 1, 1926 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Lee Brooks and Annie Jane (Canter) Brooks. Mrs. Parker was a homemaker and a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Parker; three sisters, Volena West, Margie Garland, and Audell Bynum; as well as two brothers, Cleetwood Brooks and Curtis Brooks.
Mrs. Parker is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Stubblefield and husband Eddie Bruce of Hazel, Kentucky; one sister, Sue Hamlin of Mayfield, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Terry Stubblefield, Alicia Tabers (Ricky), Michelle Stubblefield, Michael Stubblefield (Stefanie), Chrissy Driver (Kevin) and Missy Raines (Bruce Parker); 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; as well as two nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Dan Leslie officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
