Wendell Archie Ramsey

Mr. Wendell Archie Ramsey, age 77, of Almo, Kentucky, died on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Ramsey was born April 7, 1941, in Moweaqua, Illinois to the late Edward Allen Ramsey and Cleo Catherine Cuttler Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Ramsey.

Mr. Ramsey was retired from Caterpillar, was an Airforce Veteran, and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Virgie Eldridge Ramsey of Almo, Kentucky, they married February 14, 2000, in Murray, Kentucky; daughter, Vicky Ortaga-Wolf and partner Lisa; two sons, Steven Ramsey and wife Pati, and Brian Ramsey; two step sons, Tim Dix, and Phillip Dix and wife Sheila; three sisters, Shirley Snyder and husband Jimmy, Judy Hudson and husband Lorry, and Carol Brown and husband Harold; also seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Bob Myers will officiate, and burial will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW #6291. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
