Mr. William Dee Eldridge, age 82, of Murray, Kentucky passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, June 22, 2018.
Mr. Eldridge was born in Almo, Kentucky on May 9, 1936 to the late Edd Eldridge and Eulalia (Donelson) Eldridge. Mr. Eldridge was a retired car dealer and was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents Mr. Eldridge was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Gabriella Eldridge and Samantha Wise; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Eldridge; four sisters, Willie Woods, Goldie Kirksey, Louise Hill and Mary Hensler; six brothers, O.B. Eldridge, Clarence Eldridge, Damon Eldridge, Eddie Eldridge, Alfred Eldridge and Cliff Eldridge; as well as one step grandson, Robbie Clayton.
Mr. Eldridge is survived by his wife, Fronie Mae (Garner) Eldridge of Murray, Kentucky, to whom he married on February 11, 1956 in Corinth, Mississippi; one daughter, Tresa (Eldridge) Jones and husband Terry of Murray, Kentucky; three sons, Larry Eldridge and wife Izetta of Murray, Kentucky, Mike Eldridge and wife Karen of Almo, Kentucky and James Eldridge and wife Laurie of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Dean McKinney of Murray ,Kentucky; six grandchildren, Michael Paul Eldridge and wife Amber, Kristin Heriges and husband Tim, Tiffany Stone and husband Chase, Megan Jones and husband David Kowalchin; Miranda Eldridge and husband Craig Schwenker, Jamie Lawrence and husband Rodney; two step granddaughters, Tiffany Harris and Kristen Clayton; 11 great-grandchildren, Olivia and Poppy Eldridge, Kaylee and Dakota Heriges, Mackenzie and Jase Stone, Adalyn and Austin Kowalchin, Destiny Elliott and Loghan and Hadlee Schwenker; and five step great-grandchildren, Grace and Ella Harris, Ashlyn and Ayden Jones and Braelynn Clayton.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Elijah Balentine, Rev. Kerry Lambert and Rev. Robert McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldridge Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
