Mr. William Harry Furches, age 82, of Murray, Kentucky died on Friday, January 06, 2017 at his home after an extended illness.
Mr. Furches was born in Murray, Kentucky on May 17, 1934 to the late William Riley Furches and Virginia (Adams) Furches. Mr. Furches retired from Murray State University after 30 years as an art professor.
In addition to his parents Mr. Furches was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Beth Carruthers.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette (Paschall) Furches of Murray, Kentucky, to whom he married in 1957 in Murray, Kentucky; two daughters, Leslie Furches and husband Bill David Wilson of Hazel, Kentucky and Mary Leigh Furches and husband Bill Shelton of Murray, Kentucky; three sons, David L. "Chip" Furches and wife Sheila of Hazel, Kentucky, Stephen Clay Furches and wife Kaiti Slater of Murray, Kentucky and Vincent Clark Furches and wife Kay of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Matthew and Ross Robinson, Ginny Furches Garner and husband A.J., Emma Furches and Will and Sean Shelton; as well as one great grandchild, Maddox Robinson.
In memory of Harry the family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
