Mr. William T. "Jack" Johnson, age 87, of Murray, Kentucky died on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Redbanks Skilled Nursing Center in Henderson, Kentucky.
Mr. Johnson was born August 24, 1927 in Graves County, Kentucky, to the late Clifton A. and Audrey Stom Johnson. He was retired from the Murray Division of Tappan after 31 years of service, and the Murray City School system after 15 years of service. Jack was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandy Morris, seven sisters, Ruth Cude, Frances Laird, Grace Humphrey, Jessie McClain, Ann Johnson, Marie Myatt, and Wanda Hicks; three brothers, Errette, Wayne, and Boyett Johnson; also one grandchild, William Zachary Sullivan.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Yates Johnson of Murray, Kentucky, they married November 20, 1948 in Corinth, Mississippi; daughter, Dana Sullivan of Henderson, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Jon Morris of Lynnville, Kentucky, and Josh Sullivan of Henderson, Kentucky; two great grandchildren, Lilly and Bella Sullivan of Henderson, Kentucky; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Dr. Rick Dye and Rev. Bob Saywell will officiate. The burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery in Mayfield, Kentucky. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 5-8 p.m., at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
