William (Bill) E. Justice, 80, of New Concord, Kentucky, formerly of Greenup, passed away at 4:20 am on Monday, February 15, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup Illinois. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the service time. Burial will be in the Tippett Cemetery in rural Toledo Illinois.
Bill was born on December 1, 1935 in Charleston, IL, the son of Everett and Verdin Pearcy Justice. Surviving is his loving wife Lois (Waller) Justice; siblings Granville (Pat) Justice of Charleston, Judy (Bill) Cassidy of Accokeek, MA, Doyle Pete (Pam) Justice of Casey, Curtis (Julie) Justice of Casey and Ricky (Lynda) Justice of Greenup. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill worked as an equipment operator for the Illinois Department of Transportation Maintenance Division, Greenup, IL. He was also a lifelong farmer and held a variety of other jobs including Greenup Sand & Gravel and Payrro during the construction of Interstate 70. He operated a welding shop for many years and was a Stewart's Seed Dealer. Bill was an avid fisherman and retired to pursue fishing on Kentucky Lake. He was also a member of the Teamsters, the I.U.O.E. Local 841 for heavy equipment operators, a Life Member of the NRA and R.O.M.E.O. (Retired Old Men Eating Out).
