Mr. William Alton Lovett, age 88, of Holland, Ohio, passed away January 30, 2012, at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek, Holland. He was born on September 21, 1923, to Fred and Elsie (Miller) Lovett in Murray, Kentucky. William loved to watch Detroit Tiger baseball, have Sunday breakfast with his family, and travel to Gatlinburg, Tennessee every fall. He was retired from Bleim Steel, Toledo, where he was a supervisor for many years.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lucy (Gurunian) Lovett, his brothers, Max and Talmadge Lovett, and his sister, Ruth (Lovett) Lassiter. He is survived by children, Allan Lovett, James (Scot Shumaker) Lovett, and Lori Donahue. He is also survived by his brother, Purdom (Jo Horton) Lovett of Murray, in addition to many nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Murray area.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Coles Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery.
