Dr. William O. "Bill" Price, Jr., age 75, of Murray, Kentucky, died at 1:54 p.m. Wednesday, May 02, 2012 at his home.
Dr. Price was born in Ocala, Florida on April 14, 1937 to the late William O. Price, Sr. and Evelyn Kersey Price. Dr. Price retired from Murray State University after 43 years and retiring as the Associate Provost. Dr. Price was the co-owner and operator along with his wife Martha, of Miss Martha's Antiques in Hazel, Kentucky in which has been in business for 30 years. Dr. Price was an Army veteran.
Dr. Price is survived by his wife, Martha Alice Leet Price of Murray, to whom he married on January 26, 1974; one daughter, Penny Price French and husband Tommy of Nashville, Tennessee; two sons, William O. Price, III of Nashville, Tennessee and Joshua Price and wife Adora of Louisville, Kentucky; one sister, Sally Smotherman and husband Dick of Frankfort, Kentucky; one brother, Bob Price and wife Janet of Dallas, Texas; as well as four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with remarks by family friend Ralph Austin. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the funeral home.
