William Allan Vance

Mr. William Allan Vance, age 69, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Murray – Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Vance was born in Murray, Kentucky on January 16, 1950 to Frances (Taylor) Vance and the late Coffield Vance. Prior to retiring from Saputo, Mr. Vance was employed as the parts manager at Carroll Mazda – Nissan Inc. in Murray. He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a 1968 graduate of Murray High School. Mr. Vance was an avid golfer and fisherman, was a dedicated UK, Murray High School and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a grill master to many and a devoted family man.
Mr. Vance is survived by his mother, Frances Vance of Murray, Kentucky; his wife, Margie (Downey) Vance of Murray, Kentucky, whom he married on March 3, 1978 in Murray, Kentucky; three daughters, Kimberly Morris and husband Scott, Amberly Munsey and husband Kevin, and Emily Shields and husband Jeff all of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Rhonda Vance Derington of Benton, Kentucky and Cindy Vance of Murray, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Kaeleigh Morris and wife Morgan of Nashville, Tennessee, Blaze Morris, Kaliya Morris, Ava Munsey, Lila Munsey, Asa Munsey, and Brady Shields all of Murray, Kentucky and Dustin Arant of Maryland; his beloved dog, Tessie; as well as several extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Brett Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Scott Morris, Kevin Munsey, Jeff Shields, Blaze Morris, Tony Derington, Brady Shields, and Asa Munsey.
Mr. Vance was an organ donor and had a strong desire to help others and the family wishes expressions of sympathy can be made to Trust for Life, 982 Eastern Pkwy, Box #13, Louisville, Kentucky 40217 or to the Humane Society of Calloway County, PO Box 764, Murray, Kentucky 42071.
