Mr. Woodrow Futrell age 97, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Marshall County Hospital in Benton, Kentucky.
He was a member of Church Grove United Methodist Church; Member of Temple Hill Masonic Lodge F&AM Lodge #276; He was a maintenance welder for National Carbide in Calvert City, Kentucky; He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.
He was born in Calloway County Kentucky on December 29, 1915 to the late Eucley Crit and Emma Houston Futrell; In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Frances Holland Futrell; as well as four sisters, three brothers, two great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
He is survived by his daughter, Jeanna Robertson and husband Herchell of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Debbie Moreland and husband Brian of Wingo, Kentucky, Sandy Pace and husband Michael of Hardin, Kentucky, Barbara Harper of Hazel, Kentucky; seven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, September 21, 2012 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Jimmy Stom will officiate with burial to follow in the Holland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
